Today’s commute was a little more interesting than recent ones. Of note:
White Nissan 370Z Nismo. Rear wasn’t half bad, actually. Very clean vehicle.
Black M4...not sure how I feel about it, still.
A fancy Honda Crosstour Acura ZDX. I had 0 clue this was a thing.
Black and red Mustang Cobra merging onto a main road from a stop sounded glorious...absolutely glorious. So happy I had the windows down.
The Mustang contrasted completely with the Model S in front of me...I heard nothing (over my idle) as it drove away.
Speed limit: 65. Traffic with cop: 55. Traffic without cop: 75. We all know of the phenomenon but it’s still infuriating.
What did you see today?

I saw a 12-14 GT500 - black with silver stripes.
It had a vanity plate that said “PUMPIN FE”
And the dude who was driving looked a little like Lou Ferrigno

E28 M5. Can never grab a pic of it but it looks super clean.

I love 370Zs, but I don’t know if I could make it with only two seats.

I hear you. I was looking at the Toyobaru twins and because the back seat is useless I had to think the same thing. Ruled out coupes in general.
With the back seat of the FoST the way it is with me driving, probably could have kept looking at them haha.

Yeah, I’m just saving up as I can for a GTI or maybe ATS, but the Focus RS is looking nice. I’d have to see some non-CGI shots of the interior first though.

Even if the RS was exactly the same as the FoST, I’d take it. I actually like the interior configuration quite a bit...though, to be fair, I haven’t spent time in a GTI.

I’m just biased against Ford with all the issues I had with my F150.

Oh, I’m biased towards Ford because of my family’s F150 haha. Thing was unreal for over 10 years. What was up with yours?

The A/C never worked right. If I hit the gas in a more than very soft way, it would make all of the air blow from the defroster.
I went through 3 alternators and two sets of coil packs. There had to be some eleectrical gremlins in there.
I could never get more than 14mpg. I had a 2003 Supercrew with the V8 and was under no impressions of getting good mileage, but 14mpg on the highway is silly. It was all stock except for the bedcover. It was a gorgeous metallic dark blue and with the silver stripe along the bottom.

That’s weird. And I know exactly what you’re talking about with that blue. We had a rental one after my dad got rear-ended at a stop (by someone going 45...whiplash like crazy but he drove home) and he loved it enough to contemplate a trade-in.
1999 with the V8. Drove it in hs on minimum wage so I feel the mpg. Think I got at least 15mpg easily, though.
I don’t think we ever had any actual mechanical issues that had to be done in the shop. I replaced a belt with my dad’s friend cuz it squeaked, tank straps rusted out so I had those replaced (they were later recalled and I got reimbursed). Aside from the rust, no complaints. I miss it terribly.
It’s unfortunate when there’s such a dichotomy of experiences within a model.
